Greg Yaitanes

The husband of television writer Genna Yaitanes, Greg Yaitanes got his start as the director of such low-profile but high-energy action films as "Double Tap" and "Hard Justice." After moving to the television front with episodes of the syndicated female-fighting-force shows "V.I.P." and "Cleopatra 2525," Yaitanes brought his kinetic touch to CBS's circa-2000 prime-time schedule, helming installments of such series as the buddy-cop drama "Nash Bridges" and the cultural mash-up "Martial Law," the latter of which was a gig earned particularly because of his prior experience shooting hand-to-hand combat in the aforemetioned feature films. In the same way Yaitanes flourished on such cinematically inclined new-wave series as "Lost" and "Alias," his further work on legal series such as "Damages" and procedurals such as "CSI: Miami" established him as a director in tune with the contemporary idea of injecting once prosaic formats with elements of the visually sensational. In addition to helming episodes of the lurid "Bones" and the action-packed "Prison Break," Yaitanes became a producer and frequent director of FOX's medical drama "House M.D.," winning an Emmy for his lively work on the dynamically inward-looking episode "House's Head."
