Daphne Reckert is an American-born entrepreneur and vlogger who co-stars with her husband, Ian Figueira, on HGTV’s reality series "Castle Impossible." The show chronicles their ambitious journey to restore the 500-year-old Château de Lésigny in France, a property Daphne inherited from her grandfather upon his passing in 2020.
Before dedicating herself to the chateau, Daphne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She also gained experience in venue management and sales, serving as the president of Magnus Events SAS, a company she co-founded in 2021.
Daphne's grandfather purchased the Château de Lésigny in 1981 and made several renovations to the property. After inheriting the estate, Daphne and Ian relocated from California to France to manage and restore it. They have invested their life savings into the project, aiming to preserve the chateau's legacy while making it financially sustainable.
In addition to her work on the chateau, Daphne has a background in carpentry, conservation, and landscaping, which has been instrumental in the renovation efforts.
