Brandon Flynn is an American actor, known mainly for his role as Justin Foley in "13 Reasons Why," as well as appearing as himself in the short film "Home Movies" and Mike the Intern in "BrainDead."

Flynn began acting at age ten when he played Mr. Smee in a musical production of "Peter Pan." After attending the New World School of the Arts in Miami, he attended the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Flynn graduated with a bachelor's in fine arts in 2016, and quickly made his television debut as Mike the Intern, a guest star role, on the short-lived political satire "BrainDead" (CBS, 2016). He played main character Luke in the off-Broadway production of the musical "Kid Victory" in 2017, and landed the starring role of Justin Foley on the critically acclaimed high school drama "13 Reasons Why" (Netflix, 2017- ). Flynn came out as a part of the LGBT community in 2017, posting on Instagram a denouncement of critics of a push to legalize same-sex marriage in Australia. The post, as well as Flynn's relationship with singer Sam Smith from September 2017 to June 2018, were covered extensively in the wake of newfound fame from his highly visible role on "13 Reasons Why." He joined the cast of third season of "True Detective" (HBO, 2014- ) in a recurring role in 2018.
