The long-awaited series adaptation of The Witcher is almost here!

On Thursday, Netflix unveiled a new trailer, photos and an official release date for the best-selling fantasy book series by Andrzej Sapkowski. The Witcher, a sweeping tale about fate and family, stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.

The Witcher will debut Friday, December 20 on the streaming platform and will track three separate individuals living in the massive world of The Continent and their intertwined destinies. The Continent is home to humans, elves, witchers, gnomes and monsters, who all battle to survive and flourish.

It is a world in which the line between good and evil isn’t clearly defined, and viewers get a sneak peek at that in the new full-length trailer unleashed at the Lucca Comics and Games convention in Lucca, Italy.
