‘The Resident’ Season 6 Finale Promo: Will Docs Save Governor & Hospital? (PHOTOS)
It looks like we were at least partly right: Governor Betz (Steven Culp) does end up a patient at Chastain in The Resident Season 6 finale.
Fox has released photos and a promo teasing the two-hour event on January 10, and for the governor, his only hope is a heart transplant. “Move me to the top of the transplant list,” he demands. Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry) asks Dr. AJ Austin (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) if he thinks something is worth it. “For the greater good, yes,” the Raptor says.
And the governor has a bit of incentive for Chastain’s CEO Dr. Kit Voss (Jane Leeves) to make sure he survives: “Save my life, and I will save this hospital.” Watch the promo above.
In these two episodes, “All the Wiser” and “All Hands on Deck,” the ER quickly fills up after a heavy storm causes a devastating helicopter crash. Conrad, Dr. Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal), and the rest of the Chastain doctors rush to treat patients including the helicopter pilot, a barista, and Chastian’s least favorite person, Governor Betz. Then, Conrad is pulled away from celebrating Gigi’s sixth birthday when Sammie comes into Chastian with a 104-degree fever, and Kit must call in a favor for treatment. Meanwhile, a heart arrives for Governor Betz’s transplant surgery.
