‘The Pitt’ Season 3 Trailer and Photos: Robby’s First Day Back Is Intensely Hectic

“I knew my first day back was going to be hard, dealing with what we go through here. I knew that it could get a little bit crazy. But it’s time to get back to it,” Robby (Noah Wyle) says in The Pitt Season 3 trailer, which reveals that shift is his first back after a much-needed break — and that the series, which was nominated for 26 Emmys for Season 2, is going to be just as outstanding and intense in 2027.

As the trailer, which you can watch above, begins, Abbot (Shawn Hatosy) seems a bit skeptical about Robby’s return after Shen (Ken Kirby) remarks that his name is on the schedule. “I’ll believe it when I see it,” he says.

But Robby does return, and things seem strained with Dana (Katherine LaNasa) — “They haven’t fired you yet?” he throws her way — and Langdon (Patrick Ball), who’s looking a bit rough, certainly seems tentative when he welcomes him back.

Watch the video for much more, including some of the patients the staff will be dealing with, someone hitting the floor, and much more. It also confirms that the series will continue to premiere in January. Then, scroll down to check out new photos from the season.

The Pitt is described as “a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.” Each season covers one shift, told in real-time, with each of the 15 episodes running for one hour.

The Pitt Season 3 cast includes Wyle, Ball, LaNasa, Hatosy, Kirby, Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Dr. Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), Ayesha Harris (Dr. Ellis), and Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi).

The Pitt is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where JWP is under an overall deal. Creator R. Scott Gemmill serves as an executive producer alongside John Wells, Noah Wyle, Michael Hissrich, JWP’s Erin Jontow, Joe Sachs, Simran Baidwan, and Eli Attie.
