‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Season 2 Part 2 Trailer: Will Mickey Win Lisa’s Case? (VIDEO)
The good news: Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) is alive after that attack in the parking garage. And in the trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Part 2 (dropping on Netflix on August 3), he’s in the hospital, with at least a broken arm.
However, he insists he doesn’t have time to rest with a trial — Lisa (Lana Parilla), accused of murder — coming up. Maggie (Neve Campbell) is a bit more focused on the fact that he could have been killed. “I didn’t ask for this. I was just doing my job,” Mickey says. And sure, there are other ways to do that, but “I’m a lot of things but conventional, it’s not one of them.”
The media is all over the trial, and Mickey and Andrea (Yaya DaCosta) face off in court. “Don’t let yourselves be fooled. See through Mr. Haller’s parlor tricks to the truth,” she tells the jury.
Plus, Legal Siegel (Elliott Gould) offers Mickey some advice: “If you sacrifice too much for this job, you’ll end up alone. It’s a terrible Hollywood cliché.” Watch the trailer above for more from the trial and a tease of the verdict to come.
“Honestly, there’s so much fire in that courtroom,” DaCosta told TV Insider of the second half of the season. “I really love the way the writers take the viewers on a journey and present the information and the twists and turns in such a way that we really don’t know what’s going to happen, we really don’t know who to believe, and that makes it so exciting. So yeah, I think for the second half of the season, just look forward to even more tension, conflict, excitement, and chemistry.”
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 is based on the fourth book in Michael Connelly‘s series, The Fifth Witness. The cast also includes Becki Newton, Angus Sampson, and Jazz Raycole. Season 2 also stars Krista Warner, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Matt Angel, Angélica María, and David Clayton Rogers.
