‘Miss Americana,’ ‘folklore’ & More Ways to Get Your Taylor Swift Fix on TV
Taylor Swift is proving that she’s the undisputed music champion of 2020 by announcing yet another surprise album before the new year, entitled evermore.
The singer/songwriter revealed that the album, labeled as a “sister” to folklore, would arrive at midnight on December 11. “I’m elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and folklore‘s sister record, will be out tonight at midnight eastern. It’s called evermore,” Swift captioned the album cover on Instagram.

“To put it plainly, we just couldn’t stop writing songs. To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in,” she wrote.
The news comes weeks after Swift surprised fans with a Disney+ special, folklore: the long pond studio sessions, featuring songs from her first surprise album in 2020. While she surprised her fans with folklore earlier this year, Swift knew her usual concert format wouldn’t work in the middle of a pandemic. Instead, she met up with collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner for a studio session that was filmed so fans could experience live versions of the music. The special also features a performance with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon.

Saturday Night Live on Peacock (2009)

New Girl on Netflix (2013)
In a rare guest star appearance, Swift appeared on the Fox comedy in the episode, “Elaine’s Big Day.” The installment focused on the arranged marriage between Jess’s (Zooey Deschanel) best friend Cece (Hannah Simone) and Shivrang (Satya Bhabha), which is interrupted by Swift character, the titular Elaine, who declares her love for the groom.
Taylor Swift City of Lover Concert on ABC (2020)
Before she surprised fans with new albums and Disney+ specials, Swift released this concert special, which was recorded prior to the pandemic in Paris. It features intimate performances of music from her seventh studio album Lover. Unfortunately, this title doesn’t appear to be streaming anymore, but it can be found on YouTube.
