‘Dancing With the Stars’: Ciara Miller Cries as She Reflects on Unexpected Elimination
What To Know
- Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong were eliminated from Dancing With the Stars, despite receiving their best scores on October 6.
- After the show, Miller broke down in tears while discussing her partnership with Armstrong and how sad she is that it’s over.
Ciara Miller received her highest scores of the season on the October 6 episode of Dancing With the Stars, but it wasn’t enough to save her from elimination. She and Brandon Armstrong had the lowest combined scores and viewer votes, and were sent home at the end of the night.
Afterwards, Miller was visibly emotional, and even had to wipe away tears as she reflected on her journey. “I’m sad, obviously, I’m bummed,” the Summer House star told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m, like, processing, but bummed to say the least.”
Miller started crying when she was told how much support she was getting on social media after her elimination. “I couldn’t even put into words what that means,” she admitted. “I’m glad that some people could see how special this partnership was. I’m grateful. I’m just sad. This is just sad. It’s something new. I loved this experience and this partnership and getting to do this and I wanted to just continue on. It’s just sad.”
At the end of the day, though, Miller learned that it’s OK to get out in front of people and not be perfect. “I think it’s easy to be in the public eye and only want to present the most perfect side of yourself,” she explained. “So this was definitely a fun experience to get out of that comfort zone.”
Armstrong was, of course, also upset to have his journey come to an end so early. “I think what bums you out is she shouldn’t have gone home,” he said.
However, he recognized that the show is about more than just dancing. “People are voting for a million different reasons,” he pointed out. “Ultimately, they do tell you to vote for your favorite couple. It’s entertainment as much as it’s dance. So you feel bummed because you feel like you’re squeezing all the juice out of the lemon and it gets cut short, but it is what it is and I wish it was different, obviously. And I’m proud of her.”
