Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 is just over a month away from arriving as the prequel spinoff to Starz‘s recently concluded hit, Outlander, prepares to reimmerse fans in the world inspired by Diana Gabaldon‘s characters.

In anticipation of the show’s impending premiere on September 18, Starz has shared several first-look photos for Blood of My Blood‘s latest chapter, which continues the stories of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) parents, Brian (Jamie Roy) and Ellen (Harriet Slater), and Julia (Hermione Corfield) and Henry (Jeremy Irvine). In addition to other familiar characters from the franchise like Murtagh (Rory Alexander), Dougal (Sam Retford), Lord Lovat (Tony Curran), Colum (Seamus McLean Ross), Jocasta (Sadhbh Malin), and Ned (Conor MacNeill), among others.

As fans will recall, Season 1 concluded with Brian and Ellen running away together only to see the fiery cross lit, calling Brian into an impending battle. Meanwhile, Julia and Henry had reunited and made an attempt to escape back to 1920s Scotland at the standing stones of Craigh Na Dun. The catch? With only one gem in their possession, and their newborn son in tow, it was clear not all would make it through the stones as they were pursued by Arch Bug (Terence Rae).

Could the newly released Season 2 images offer some answers? It appears so. Below, we’re breaking down the images released for Blood of My Blood Season 2 so far.
