Daniel Dae Kim’s Dr. Shin Joins the ‘New Amsterdam’ Staff in the Season 2 Finale (PHOTOS)

New Amsterdam is facing a crisis in the final episode of Season 2.

In “Matter of Seconds,” multiple patients throughout the hospital begin to show similar, alarming symptoms, and Helen (Freema Agyeman) and Bloom (Janet Montgomery) scramble to figure out the cause. And in the promo, Bloom makes a horrifying discovery.

Elsewhere in the episode, Iggy (Tyler Labine) tries to create peace for a divorced couple in a dangerous situation, and Kapoor (Anupam Kher) has a flirtatious encounter. Also, Max desperately tries to get a child with a rare muscular disease into the country’s only clinical trial that could extend his life.
