‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’: What We Want to See in Final Season
OK, Wildcats, Season 4 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is almost here! Sadly, this will be the show’s final season, but what a great run it has had. Over the past four seasons, we have gotten to know the new students of East High quite well, so it will be incredibly heartbreaking to see them go.
However, the teaser has provided us with some exciting clips. As we know, a few cast members from the original movies will be returning to East High to film High School Musical 4. OG Wildcats making a return to East High include Corbin Bleu (Chad), Monique Coleman (Taylor), Lucas Grabeel (Ryan), Kaycee Stroh (Martha), Bart Johnson (Coach Bolton), and Alyson Reed (Ms. Darbus). On top of that wild reunion, we have so much more to look forward to!

A Ricky & Gina endgame
After a little bit of a rocky start, Ricky (Joshua Bassett) and Gina’s (Sofia Wylie) relationship blossomed into a beautiful friendship throughout Seasons 1 and 2. After many moments hinting the two of them had feelings for each other, the two finally shared a kiss at the end of Season 3. We gave out a big sigh of relief, and now, we’re hoping to see their romantic relationship further progress in Season 4.
Ricky & Gina play Troy & Gabriella in the production of HSM3
Ricky and Gina are basically the show’s Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens). It would make perfect sense to see the new couple play one of the most iconic Disney Channel Original Movie couples. The two also give off major Troy and Gabriella energy and share the same chemistry that they have.
More Big Red!
In Season 3, we did not really get a lot of one of our favorite redheads (Larry Saperstein). We missed seeing the caring and loyal friend that everyone can rely on. He had great development in the first two seasons, and we want to see more of that in the last.
More Big Red & Ashlyn scenes
These two are one of the more underrated couples in the show. They have such a sweet and heartwarming relationship, and we want to see more it! An original duet between the both of them would be a great addition to this final season.
Famous Kourtney?
We can only assume that after the Frozen: The Musical documentary, the East High gang earns some fame. We think Kourtney (Dara Reneé) would thrive in the spotlight. Whether she’s acting or even becoming an influencer, Kourtney deserves her moment of fame.
A happy ending for our favorite seniors
Since this is the final season, we want to make sure that our faves have a good ending. Whether it is college or pursuing a career in Hollywood, we know the Wildcats have a bright future ahead of them.
A surprise cameo from Olivia Rodrigo?
Lately, Olivia Rodrigo’s been working on her own music, and we know it’s been said that she will not reprise her role as Nini this season, but we can still hope she surprises us!
Many interactions between the OG HSM & HSMTMTS casts
We know that multiple cast members from the original movies are coming back this season, so how great would it be to see them truly interact with the new Wildcats? Last season we saw them meet Corbin, but this season, there will be an all-star reunion of Wildcats. We know that seeing these OG Wildcats will bring back all the feels.
Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens cameos?
Nothing would make this show more complete than seeing our Troy and Gabriella come back to East High for the reunion. High School Musical 4 would not be the same without the iconic leading pair.
