‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Stars Take Fans Behind the Scenes of Season 23

Grey’s Anatomy recently began production on Season 23, and already, the cast of the show is taking audiences behind the scenes of their filming adventures with candid shots from the set.

As the long-lived medical drama preps to return, the first inside look at the set from ABC revealed a few potentially major developments: First, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) is nowhere to be seen in the pic, indicating that she and Nick Marsh (Scott Speedman) have probably returned to Boston to begin their wedding planning back at home and won’t be around for the premiere episode.

Second, Benson “Blue” Kwan (Harry Shum Jr.) is back in the picture, and in this behind-the-scenes video from production, the cast makes light of the fact that they’ll have to answer for that, since Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) dramatically fired of the surgeon, despite giving a pass to Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) when he thought it was her.

Third, Toni Wright (Jen Landon) is also still around, after the then-guest character walked in on romantic interest Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) with another woman, Cass Beckman (Sophia Bush) … was it just a misunderstanding?

Beyond that initial photo, the cast’s own shots also offer fans a chance to be a part of the production process, so scroll down for more shots of the Grey’s Anatomy team in action on Season 23.
