From One Battle Immediately to the Next
Not much time will have passed between the battle at Winterfell and everyone preparing to fight Cersei and her army. The fighters still bear signs of their injuries and are honoring the fallen on funeral pyres.
Both Cersei and Daenerys Are Confident They’ll Win
Cersei smiles down at her army, with Euron (Pilou Asbæk) at her side. She does have the Golden Company (albeit without any elephants) fighting for her.
However, Daenerys has dragons — and did just fight alongside her army to defeat the Night King and his undead. “We have won the Great War,” she announces to her people. “Now, we will win the last war.”
A Celebratory Feast
Daenerys raises her cup in victory, and the others in attendance follow suit. But will this be the last celebration for her and her army?
The Dragons Are Ready for Another Fight
Daenerys visits her dragons — and yes, both are still alive — and at her feet are the bones of animals. Will that be enough to have the dragons ready to fight another battle after the one against the Night King, his ice dragon, and his army?
Arya and Gendry
Arya’s work isn’t done. She may have taken out the Night King (and his entire army) in Episode 3, but she still has Cersei to cross off her list. Is she kissing Gendry goodbye before setting out to do just that?
Ghost Lives
When Game of Thrones fans last see Ghost in Episode 3, he’s running towards the Night King’s army. His fate is unclear amidst the chaos, but this trailer confirms his survival, as he can be seen behind Sam (John Bradley) here.
Is Sansa Staying in Winterfell?
It’s possible, as she watches the soldiers leaving through the gate at the beginning of the trailer. She has made it clear to Daenerys that the North is what matters to her. We also see her standing alone and watching as the dragons fly overhead in the distance.
Is Euron Proposing to Cersei?
He’s made it clear what he wants from her, and he just remains at her side throughout the trailer. But will she say yes? Does it even matter? Will he even survive this fight? (And even if he does, will Cersei let him live?)

The battle of Winterfell may have ended in Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) favor, but how will she, her dragons, and her fighters fare against Cersei’s (Lena Headey) army on Game of Thrones?
Both sides are focused on their upcoming battle in the Episode 4 trailer, and both Daenerys and Cersei obviously plan to emerge victorious.
But is it Cersei, whose army didn’t have to fight the undead at Winterfell, who has the edge? Or does Daenerys, as her side is coming fresh off an important victory, all because of Arya (Maisie Williams) killing the Night king?
Though the trailer mostly looks ahead to the battle to come, it also remembers what just happened at Winterfell (and confirms the fates of a few creatures that fought).
