Get ready for a new adventure Blindspot fans because the NBC series is once again taking us abroad in Season 4!

In the upcoming February 8 episode, “The Tale of The Book of Secrets,” Patterson (Ashley Johnson) and Rich (Ennis Esmer) travel to Machu Picchu in Peru while partaking in a treasure hunt in an effort to save Jane (Jaimie Alexander).

To film the episode, Johnson and Esmer journeyed to the South American country with much of the crew, including series EP Martin Gero. “Filming in Machu Picchu was one of the most incredible experiences of my life,” Gero tells TV Insider.

“It’s a magical place to stage our most epic adventure yet! I so want to do a spinoff show that’s just Rich and Patterson going around the world finding hidden treasure. But first, we get to watch this amazing episode!”

Esmer also sings the country’s praises, adding, “It was an incredible experience, and one I never could have anticipated in my career. I wish we had had more time to explore, but honestly where we got to shoot, the actual job, was an exploration unto itself.

“The crew took fantastic care of us and from the footage I’ve seen so far, I think we made something that fans of the show are going to love,” he continues. “Also, I think you’ll agree, my Indiana Jones impression needs work.”
