Big Brother houseguests will be taking a trip down memory lane for Season 28. The house has been transformed into a “time trip,” as they are warped through the past, present, and future.

The house and theme were announced on July 1, just days before the Season 28 premiere, which will air on Thursday, July 9, at 8/7c on CBS for 90 minutes.

For the “biggest season yet,” houseguests will have “twists around every corner,” according to host Julie Chen Moonves in a promo video. “For Season 28, we’re throwing out all of the rules of time and space and sending our houseguests on a journey unlike anything you’ve ever seen before,” she said.

“From prehistoric times to iconic decades and unforgettable moments from Big Brother history, this house is packed with surprises around every single corner.”

While the houseguests won’t be revealed until the days leading up to the premiere, fans get an early look at the house and theme for the season as the CBS competition show celebrates its 1,000th episode and the most programming hours ever.

Big Brother: Time Trip “turns time into the ultimate twist,” according to a press release. Houseguests will enter a world where rooms, relics, and competitions transport them across moments in time, while early twists shake up the game. Inspired by decades like the ’80s and Y2K, new powers and challenges can disrupt strategy and alliances.

Season 28 will air on Sundays and Thursdays at 8/7c for one hour and Wednesdays at 8/7c for 90 minutes. The release goes on to say that history will be “rewritten” and that “anything is possible.”

Check out the house photos and video below. Some rooms and features are not pictured in the photos, but can be seen in the video. As always, expect the unexpected.
