The second season of Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is now available for streaming, so before you binge the sophomore season of this charming comedy starring Ellie Kemper, check out these fun facts. We bet you'll think, "It's a Miracle!"
1. Gibbler’s Revenge After living in an underground bunker for 15 years, Kimmy Schmidt emerges with the vibrant fashion sense of a late 90s sitcom sidekick.
In a crazy coincidence, Andrea Barber recently returned to her role as late 90s sitcom sidekick Kimmy Gibbler in Netflix’s Fuller House.
2. Marcia, Marcia, Marcia In Season 1, series co-creator Tina Fey made an Emmy-nominated appearance as daft lawyer, “Marcia Clark.”
Sarah Paulson is getting Emmy buzz for her portrayal of Clark in FX’s The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Before he was Don Draper on AMC’s Mad Men, Hamm was Ellie Kemper’s ninth grade drama teacher! Lucky girl; we wonder if Kemper was hot for teacher, because we would have been apt pupils!

4. It Goes in your Mouth In Season 1, character Titus Andromedon filmed a music video for his song “Peeno Noir: An Ode to Black Penis.”

Season 1 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was originally produced for NBC, so each episode contained NBC’s standard 21 minutes and 15 seconds of content.

But since Season 2 was produced with the knowledge that it would be shown on Netflix, Fey and the rest of the writing staff aimed for 27 minutes of funny storytelling.

And despite now knowing that the material doesn’t have to appease network censors, Fey says she’s not upping the ante in Season 2 saying, “We’ve realized that our audience is young. I thought, as a mom, I would hate to trust this show and then put on the second season, and then it was just, you know, prison sex.”
