Politics won Tuesday night on broadcast television last night with 13 million viewers watching the New Hampshire Democratic Debate on CBS. But falling into second place with both total viewers and the 18-49 demo in the second night of its new season was The Voice.

With the CBS procedurals (NCIS, FBI and FBI: Most Wanted) taking the night off, NBC's This Is Us rose to its highest viewership in total viewers since the November 19, 2019 episode (7.30 million). The family drama also tied with it's timeslot lead-in, The Voice, with a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demo.
