In a welcome announcement, it was revealed that Mamie Gummer—yes, Meryl Streep’s daughter—will appear as a recurring character in Season 3 of HBO series True Detective.

This news comes off the heels of her Oscar-winning mom’s casting in Big Little Lies Season 2. Streep is set to play Mary Louise Wright, the mother of the now-deceased Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgard).

This is the third member of the Streep-Gummer brood to appear on the premium cable network. Streep’s younger daughter, Grace Gummer, appeared in the Aaron Sorkin-penned show, The Newsroom, from 2013-2014. It’s a family affair!

Mamie Gummer will join the previously-announced True Detective 3 stars: Mahershala Ali  (House of Cards) as Detective Wayne Hays, Stephen Dorff (Star) as Ronald West, Carmen Ejogo (The Girlfriend Experience) as Amelia Reardon, and Scoot McNairy (Godless) as Tom.

Gummer will appear as Lucy Purcell, a mother of two at the center of a terrible crime—presumably the one Season 3 will focus on.

The actress has appeared in many shows over the years including The Good Wife.
