‘Dancing with the Stars’ Reveals Season 26 Shake-Up

ABC’s hit competition show, Dancing with the Stars, just crowned its new winner on Tuesday night. Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold took home the Mirrorball Trophy for Season 25.

During the live finale, co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, revealed an exciting spoiler for the upcoming 26th season: get ready for an all-athlete cast!

“We’re going to see you in the spring for a special four-week all-athletes edition of Dancing With the Stars!” Bergeron said.

ABC confirmed the news: “Ten athletes from all corners of the sports world will be teamed up with the show’s professional dancers and compete on the ballroom floor for a chance to win the coveted Mirrorball trophy.”

Athletes that have competed on DWTS in the past include: former NFL players Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward, Donald Driver and Rashad Jennings, Olympian speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno, ice skaters Kristi Yamaguchi and Meryl Davis, gymnasts Shawn Johnson and Laurie Hernandez, and race car driver Hélio Castroneves.
