Mickey Mouse Goes 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in a New Disney Channel Cartoon (VIDEO)
Here’s one more thing to be thankful for: Disney Channel will premiere a brand new Mickey Mouse short on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, (7:53pm/6:53c), that finds the world-famous rodent and his pals Goofy and Donald trying to save Professor Ludwig Von Drake after they accidentally jettison him from a submarine.
The 7-minute cartoon is inspired by Disneyland’s beloved Submarine Voyage attraction and Disney’s Oscar-winning 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and includes several cool nods to both. Since debuting in 2013, this acclaimed series of slapstick, retro-looking Mickey shorts has won a total of six Emmy awards. Will the studio find more gold under the sea?
