Could Masterpiece’s new Raj-set British drama Indian Summers be the new jewel in PBS’s crown? It is being hailed across the pond as the Himalayan Downton Abbey. That’s pretty lofty praise for a show about a junior clerk who finds himself tangled in the political movement to liberate India from Britain’s colonial rule. (Expect Gandhi to be mentioned.)
