Aquarius, “Never Say Never To Always” (Thursday, June 4, 9/8c, NBC)

The year is 1967, and a new age is dawning in Los Angeles. Last week’s two hour season premiere of NBC’s new summer police drama Aquarius introduced viewers to the world of Det. Sam Hodiak (David Duchovny) and his young partner Shafe (Grey Damon) as they were tasked to locate a missing girl named Emma (Emma Dumont). Their investigation led them to a young wannabe rock star by the name of Charles Manson (Gethin Anthony), who was enjoying life on his remote compound with his cult-like band of followers. Tonight, Shafe and rookie cop Charmain (Claire Holt) get their first face-to-face meeting with Manson as they go undercover to locate the exact whereabouts of Emma. But when their mission does not go as planned, consequences arise for Charmain, who is trying to establish herself in the boy’s club precinct. It’s a dark, twisted and ultimately groovy ride with a ’60s soundtrack that can’t be beat. Ya dig?
