Issa’s Life Is Still Messy in New ‘Insecure’ Teaser (VIDEO)
Remember the Mannequin Challenge and how cool it was until literally everyone started doing it? Well, Issa Rae and the cast of Insecure don’t care if you think the fad is over.
In a new teaser for the second season of the critically acclaimed HBO comedy, Issa Dee’s (Rae) life is still messy as hell, as seen in multiple scenes where she is the only moving being, and everyone else is frozen in time (modified Mannequin Challenge?). The clip begins with Issa daydreaming in a car on “Queen Street” before panning over to her on the couch with Lawrence (Jay Ellis), her estranged ex-boyfriend, looking “hella confused.” Then the camera swings over to Issa looking “hella tempted” by Daniel (Y’lan Noel), the man she cheated on Lawrence with. But just when one starts to worry about the state of Issa’s personal life, the camera focuses on BFF Molly (Yvonne Orji) and girlfriends Tiffany (Amanda Seales) and Kelli (Natasha Rothwell), all smiles and dressed for a night of good times and gossip.
