‘Wheel of Fortune’: Ryan Seacrest Reacts to Contestant’s Jaw-Dropping $75,000 Win
He’s scary good! A Wheel of Fortune contestant shocked host Ryan Seacrest with his quick solves and $75,000 win.
Isidro “Izzy” Aleman, from Las Vegas, Nevada, solved three Fortune Frenzies on October 26 to kick off Halloween Week. The communications manager played against Jill Eitelberg, from Fairfax, Virginia, and Brandon Jones, from Newark, New Jersey.
Aleman solved most of the first puzzle, then guessed an incorrect letter. When the turn moved to Eitelberg, whose mom always made chili on Halloween, she guessed a letter before landing on Bankrupt. With only one letter left to guess, Jones, a professional dancer, solved “Installing Updates.” This gave him $1,000.
Eitelberg picked up the Colorado Springs trip wedge during the next puzzle. However, when she guessed the wrong letter, the turn moved to Jones, who went Bankrupt. Aleman picked up the Mystery Wedge with $10,000 on the other side and solved “It’s Coming From Inside the House!” He took the lead with $13,800.
During the Prize Puzzle, Aleman decided to ride the Express Train. He solved “Seeing a Mirage” and won a trip to Ireland. This gave him a total of $25,287.
Aleman solved two of the three Triple Toss-ups, putting $4,000 more in his bank. Jones gained $2,000 more when he solved the third one.
Aleman guessed a “T” for the final puzzle and quickly solved “Transylvania.” His final total was $30,787.
Jones went home with $3,000. Eitelberg won $1,000. Aleman advanced to the Bonus Round, where he chose “What Are You Doing?”
Wheel of Fortune gave him “R,S,T,L,N, and E.” The game show contestant added “D,F,H, and O.”
“FR_ _ _N_ _ _ _NDO_” was what the puzzle looked like. Aleman quickly solved “Framing a Window.”
Seacrest was speechless. There was $45,000 in his envelope, which gave him a total of $75,787.
“That was crazy. How did you do that?” Seacrest asked.
“I have no idea,” Aleman replied.
Fans reacted to Aleman’s game. “Izzy was awesome!” a Reddit user said.
“I love the set, and I love Izzy!!” another commented.
“Izzy ran the board! Glad he crushed the bonus round too,” a third added.
“Izzy did his thing!” a fan commented.
