HGTV’s Drew & Jonathan Scott Celebrate Mom’s Birthday With Sweet Photos

Drew and Jonathan Scott celebrated a special family occasion by sharing several sweet photos on social media.

The HGTV stars shared tributes to their mother, Joanne Scott, on Instagram for her 82nd birthday. “82 years of teaching me new things and being my guiding lights,” Drew captioned his post on Sunday, October 25. “Happy bday, mom. Love you!”

The first slide of Drew’s post featured an adorable throwback photo of him posing with Joanne on an ice rink as a kid. The mother-son duo matched in blue and red attire, down Joanne’s blue hat and Drew’s blue hockey helmet. The second slide included a more recent snap of the pair enjoying time together.

“Your mom is so gorgeous then and now. Cheers to 82 yrs,” one fan commented underneath Drew’s upload. Another joked, “Hey Drew, how old are YOU? Lol Happy birthday, mama Scott!” Someone else shared, “Happy Birthday to your beautiful Mom!”

A different person posted, “Happy birthday, Mrs. Scott! Best wishes!” A separate commenter stated, “Happy Birthday to your beautiful Mom! She is so very blessed to have you for a son, Drew.”

Jonathan posted his own series of snaps featuring himself and Joanne via Instagram on Sunday. “Happy 82nd birthday to the original guru of good times,” he wrote. “Love you mum!!” Jonathan’s photos included the pair in cowboy hats and Halloween costumes, grabbing dinner, attending parties together, and posing with Jonathan’s fiancée, Zooey Deschanel.

In the post’s comments, one fan quipped, “Happy birthday gorgeous how are you 82!? Jonathan shame on you for disclosing her age.” Someone else said, “Happy birthday to a beautiful woman who raised amazing sons. She looks 75.”

Another user commented, “Very best wishes to your mum on her birthday xx.” A different person gushed, “She is 82 years old? No way! But whatever she age, may she have many more happy birthdays—in good health, full of joy, and surrounded by she’s loved ones!”

Earlier this year, Jonathan supported Drew after he announced the death of his wife Linda Phan‘s mother, Barb. “My heart is broken. We have lost one of the most beautiful, kind, and selfless people this planet has ever seen,” he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “Linda’s mom is truly one of a kind and was taken from us far too soon. Thank you Habu, for bringing so much light to our lives. Your laugh was infectious, and I will always remember our late nights playing your favorite game 四色牌遊戲.”

Drew added, “You were always there for us and all 10 grandkids. The hardest thing for me is to know we won’t have you here to see Parker and Piper grow into strong and compassionate adults like you. I love you. I miss you.”

Jonathan offered his condolences in the post’s comments at the time, writing, “What a loving soul through and through. May we always remember and feel the love she shared.”
