What to Expect From This Year’s ‘Live With Kelly and Mark’ Halloween Special

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are pulling out all the stops for their latest on-air Halloween extravaganza.

The couple revisited some of their most memorable reality TV-themed Halloween costumes on the Monday, October 28, episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, including Ripa and Regis Philbin dressing as each other, Ripa and Consuelos’ The Bachelor and Love Island parodies, and more.

The episode ended with a message teasing what fans can expect from this year’s Halloween special. “This Friday, a spectacle so massive, it defies explanation. We call it Live‘s Halloween Shockin’ Eve,” the screen read. “Featuring Andy Cohen, Zach Braff, Lisa Rinna, Jerry O’Connell, and a surprise guest.”

According to the message, this year’s special will feature “60 costume changes and a huge prize for our costume contest winner.” It concluded, “So tune in this Friday for Live‘s Halloween Shockin’ Eve.”

The episode also featured brief glimpses of some of this year’s costumes, including Ripa and Consuelos as Nikki (Inde Navarrette) and Bear (Michael Johnston) from Obsession and Ilya (Connor Storrie) and Shane (Hudson Williams) from Heated Rivalry. Other costume teases showed Ripa in a referee costume, directing Consuelos and Michael Gelman in a musical rehearsal room, and Gelman and Déjà Vu as NeeDoh squishies.

Live‘s official Instagram page teased another Halloween episode bit, as Ripa and Consuelos poked fun at Taylor Swift being secretly transported in a cleaning cart backstage at the Eras Tour. “Kelly and Mark fans at the show went crazy after security brought in this cleaning cart through the studio. Because everyone knows the hosts hide inside of them, and that’s how they enter the building,” Déjà Vu said via voiceover in the Monday clip, which saw the hosts being moved around the Live set in the cart. “And now, we finally have proof that this, in fact, is true.”

Déjà Vu continued, “In a new video, you can actually see them getting out of the cart to get ready for the Halloween show. The cleaning cart theory is true.” (Ripa and Consuelos dressed as Swift and Travis Kelce‘s engagement photo on Live last year.)

Consuelos added, “This year’s grand prize winner will receive a seven-night cruise for four to the Caribbean aboard the Disney Treasure valued at $15,000. So, you have to be at our studio by 8 a.m. next Friday. We can’t wait to see your fab-boo-lous costume[s].”
