‘Jeopardy!’: Did Anthony Cantor Win Again After High-Scoring Game?
Spoiler Alert
Anthony Cantor had to get used to being in front of the camera this time because he was going for his second Jeopardy! win. Find out if the television and podcast producer won again.
Cantor, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, returned on October 20 for game two with a one-day total of $37,200. He played against Jim Snaza, from Chicago, Illinois, and Amy Treber, from Indianapolis, Indiana, on Monday. Warning: Spoilers for the Tuesday, October 20, episode of Jeopardy! ahead!
All three of the Daily Doubles were missed on Tuesday’s show, which led to a low-scoring game. This led to a stark difference when Cantor went all-in on his DD and got it correct. However, Cantor had the lead by the end of the first round. There were 13 Triple Stumpers and 12 incorrect responses between all three contestants.
At the end of the Double Jeopardy round, Cantor had $11,000. Snaza, a marketing manager, was in second place with $2,600. Treber, a barista and editor, had $2,000.
“Natural Wonders” was the Final Jeopardy category. The clue read, “An inscription near the site of this landmark quotes Daniel Webster: God ‘has hung out a sign to show that there He makes men.'”
None of the game show contestants had the correct response of “What is the Old Man of the Mountain?” Treber wrote, “What is *shrugging man*?” She dropped to $1 after wagering $1,999.
“What is Cape Cod?” was Snaza’s answer. He wagered $1,401, giving him $1,199. Cantor’s response was “What is the Grand Canyon?” He wagered $5,799, making his final total $5,201.
“Today’s game was… rough to say the least, but at least Anthony won, that’s something good…” a Reddit user said. Cantor will return on Wednesday for his third game. Will he get another low- or high-scoring game? Tune in to find out.
