Erin Napier is hitting the road to promote her exciting new project.
Earlier this month, the Home Town star dropped her latest children’s book, The Christmas House. “It’s a book about the Christmas traditions in our homes but also about the ones who started those traditions. It’s not the lights, it is love that makes a home glow brighter at Christmas,” she wrote in an October 6 Instagram post to celebrate the book’s releaase. “Thank you a million times for the way you supported our pre-sell campaign. I can’t believe our second children’s book is out in the world, @adamtrest!”
In a Monday, October 19, Instagram post, Napier revealed that she and the book’s illustrator, Adam Trest, will be going on a book tour later this year. “We are doing a little tiny book tour for The Christmas House,” she announced. “Are you coming?! @adamtrest.”
Per Napier’s post, the book tour will kick off in Birmingham, Alabama, on November 7. Napier and Trest will travel to cities such as Jackson, Mississippi, and New York City throughout November and December, and will conclude the tour in Laurel, Mississippi, Erin and Ben Napier‘s hometown.
Fans shared their excitement for the book tour and their love for the book in the post’s comments. “The book is so sweet; it made me emotional because we live in the home my grandparents bought 60 years ago – 4 generations have celebrated Christmas here and we still put the angel on the tree that my grandmother bought their first Christmas in the home!” one user wrote. “It’s been glued and put back together and so you can imagine how sentimental I was reading the story. So very touching!”

Another fan added, “Me scheming how to convince my husband to catch the train to NYC at 27 weeks pregnant so I can meet my FAVORITE HGTV lady!” Someone else shared, “Yes, I already have my book and yes, I’m coming on December 5 to Laurel for your 10th anniversary and little book tour.”
A different person posted, “I plan to read this book to my granddaughters every year. It’s a beautiful message. Thank you for writing it.” A separate commenter shared, “Yes! Can’t wait to see you in Birmingham!”
Back in August, Erin announced The Christmas House amid filming for Season 11 of HGTV’s Home Town. “It’s a companion to The Lantern House that Adam Trest and I have been working on for the last year or so,” she told her followers in an August 18 Instagram video. “And it’s about how our Christmas traditions keep the people we love alive forever, and about how our houses are the keepers of our traditions at Christmas, and our houses know everything about the things that are special to us at that time of year. So, it’s extremely special.”
In the post’s caption, Erin described the book as being for “every child who is ready to decorate on November 1 and every adult who is missing someone irreplaceable at Christmas time.”
