‘Jeopardy!’ Host Ken Jennings Is Confused by Toilet in Taiwan
Ken Jennings is a little confused. The Jeopardy! host made a joke about a toilet, which caused fans to laugh at his comment.
Jennings ventured back to his hometown of Seoul, South Korea, where he visited his childhood home, went to a baseball game, tried the local cuisine, and much more. However, despite growing up there, the game show host was confused by one of the signs and what he needed to do.
He then stopped by Taiwan for a little while before venturing home to Seattle, Washington. There he tried some of the local food and checked out the movie posters.
Jennings’ next Instagram post was the one that had him scratching his head and fans laughing. “Ok, but I don’t even know how to go ‘number 3,'” he captioned the post.
The photo was of a sign that said “No. 3 toilet” written in English and then above in Mandarin Chinese characters. There were also pictures of a man, a woman, and a person in a wheelchair, indicating all of those bathrooms were available.

The meaning of the sign was that there is a third toilet or bathroom in the direction that the sign was pointing. But because “going number one” means having to pee and “going number two” means it’s coming out the other end, “number three” must mean something. These originated for children who announce what they have to do in the bathroom to be less crude about it.
Although there is no official meaning for a number three, the internet and some fans think it could mean going one and two at the same time, vomiting, passing gas, having a loose stool, etc.
“It’s when you think it’s gonna be a #2, but it comes out like a #1. 2+1 = a #3,” an Instagram user wrote.
“Oof. Usually occurs after super spicy ethnic food or 15 lattes and a bran muffin,” another said.
“A pee and a poo and a little more, too!” a fan said.
“Funny, Ken,” a fan commented.
“I’m officially dead lol,” another said.
“In my family, #3 is code for um…intestinal issues,” a fan informed the host. Many others just left laughing emojis or “lol” on the post.
