Ryan Seacrest Reveals His ‘Baywatch’ Audition Tape — Was Vanna White Impressed?

Is Ryan Seacrest adding to his growing resume? The Wheel of Fortune host revealed his “audition tape” for the new Baywatch series. Find out if his cohost, Vanna White, was impressed.

On October 8, Seacrest and White celebrated “Wheel Loves L.A. Week” with a trip to Santa Monica Beach, which was down the street from the WOF studio. After Seacrest shared that he was feeling nostalgic, he said that he heard they were shooting the new Baywatch show in the area.

Baywatch is an upcoming Fox show, premiering in January 2027, that is a based off the classic 1989 series. Starring Stephen Amell as wild-child legacy Hobie Buchannon, he and his team perform adrenaline-fueled rescues and deal with tangled relationships, all while protecting Southern California’s shoreline. Hobie is the son of Mitch, who was played by David Hasselhoff in the original show.

“I think I should throw in an audition tape,” Seacrest said. The video then showed Seacrest running along the beach in dark jeans and a navy blue button-down shirt.

The host’s shirt was open, which showed off his tanned, toned chest. Music from the original show played as Seacrest ran in slow motion, barefoot. He looked along the beach and pointed as he lifted his other shoulder up to show off more of his chest.

When the episode went back to the hosts in the studio, the crowd cheered. “What more can we say?” asked a clearly-impressed White

“I apologize,” Seacrest laughed.

“10/10 you’re hired,” the official Baywatch account commented.

“Hahaha,” said Carmen Electra, who also starred in the original series.

“If Wheel doesn’t work out, at least Ryan has other options,” a fan joked.

“He should def make a cameo,” another commented.

Aside from Amell, the rest of the cast includes Jessica Belkin, who will portray Hobie’s daughter, Charlie Vale, Thaddeus LaGrone as former Marine-turned lifeguard Brad, and Hassie Harrison as lifeguard Nat, who is a former foster kid and Olympic athlete. Brooks Nader will play series regular Selene.

Noah Beck will take on the series regular role of rookie lifeguard Luke. Shay Mitchell has also been cast as series regular Trina. Livvy Dunne will make her acting debut.  Mary McDonnell will star as Hobie’s mother. John Beckwith will star as Julian.

So, could Seacrest make a cameo or join the show for Season 2? Only time will tell. The host is busy with a lot of other jobs, so maybe a cameo could be possible.
