What To Know

  • John Stamos shared that he feels his late friend and Full House co-star Bob Saget is “living through” his 8-year-old son, Billy.
  • Stamos and his son co-wrote a children’s book about hummingbirds and spirits, further connecting the idea of Saget’s presence in their lives.
  • Full House and its spinoff Fuller House, featuring much of the original cast, remain available for streaming on major platforms.

John Stamos recently revealed how his late Full House costar Bob Saget is “living through” his son, Billy.

In an interview with People published on October 13, the man behind Uncle Jesse Katsopolis opened up about Saget’s death. The actor who played Danny Tanner died in 2022 at 65 from blunt head trauma after a fall in a Florida hotel room.

“I’ll tell you, he is really living through my son,”  Stamos, 63, declared. “You know, I’m always looking for signs. Billy, my son, and I wrote a children’s book that’s coming out about hummingbirds. It’s about spirits from the past coming back. But I swear to God, I see Bob and my son now all the time.”

Of 8-year-old Billy — whom Stamos shares with his wife, Caitlin McHugh, 40 — the actor shared an example of Bob’s enduring spirit.

“He’s got toilet Tourette’s,” the doting dad explained. “Today he came home and said, ‘Mom, Dad, poop. That’s Bob.’ So Bob is making me laugh through my son, which is really special.”
