- Here’s what you need to know about the special presentation.
ABC is standing by statistics as it props up its top drama for the coveted post-Super Bowl timeslot, with High Potential Season 3 poised to pull in the football audience on Sunday, February 14, 2027.
Yes, High Potential‘s long-awaited third season finally has a return window in sight as the network gears up for the midseason launch of Season 3. But despite being set to air directly after the Super Bowl, fans can expect it to likely arrive earlier, as High Potential‘s Season 3 launch is listed as premiering in “early 2027.”
In other words, we smell a big storyline incoming, with something big enough to pull non-viewers in and glue avid fans to their screens. Considering the Valentine’s Day-set broadcast, perhaps there’s even a romantic angle involved? Only time will tell for certain, though. For now, ABC is revealing an exciting promo of Olson teasing the High Potential TV event post-Super Bowl, which you can check out below.
Super Bowl LXI is set to air on ABC, ESPN, and Disney+. Meanwhile, High Potential will normally air in the Tuesday lineup, making an exception for this exciting occasion.
For those unaware, High Potential was the number one show among adults in the 18-49 demo and the number three show among total viewers over 35 days of viewing on ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, and digital platforms in the 2025-2027 broadcast year.
The show is led by Kaitlin Olson, who plays LAPD consultant Morgan Gillory, who works alongside Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), Daphne (Javicia Leslie), Oz (Deniz Akdeniz), and Selena (Judy Reyes). Morgan’s also a single mom to three kids, including Ava (Amirah J) and Elliot (Matthew Lamb). High Potential looks at how Morgan uses her exceptional IQ to unravel mysteries for the LAPD, while also balancing her personal and professional lives.
Season 3 is making way for some small changes as new showrunners Nora and Lilla Zuckerman step up into the role most recently held by Todd Harthan. The Zuckermans also executive produce the show with Kaitlin Olson, Drew Goddard, and Sarah Esberg.
Mark your calendars for High Potential‘s game day broadcast in 2027, and stay tuned for more exciting details about the show’s return to TV as we approach the new year.
