For its 55th season, The Price Is Right is going big. Not only is the game show celebrating host Drew Carey‘s 20th season, but it will also have its first live episode. The dates for those special occasions have been revealed, as well as other details about them.

The live episode, which will be a first for the game show, was first announced in April. It originally said that it was set to air around Christmas, but the date wasn’t quite set. Now, the special live event will air at night on a weekend.

The Price Is Right: Live Holiday Special will air on Sunday, December 13, for one hour at 8ET/PT. The high-stakes, must‑watch primetime holiday television event will unfold as it happens, raising the pressure with every passing second. Viewers will get to see unprecedented behind-the-scenes access alongside Carey, announcer George Gray, the models, and the production team as they race to keep the show on track by resetting games, transforming the stage, and beating the clock.

Lucky contestants will come on down and play fan-favorite games like Plinko, Cliffhangers, and Lucky $even, before spinning The Big Wheel for a shot at a luxury showcase – which will all play out live.

Then, that same week, Carey will celebrate 20 years of being the host of TPIR. This milestone will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 15 at 8ET/PT. The Price Is Right: 20 Seasons of Drew Carey will highlight two decades of the host’s time on the game show. The special will take a look back at Carey’s most memorable moments since he began hosting in October 2007, featuring twenty years of “Come on Downs!,” jaw-dropping spins at the Showcase Showdown, heartwarming contestant stories, impressive wins, hilarious bloopers, surprising fun facts, and some of Carey’s most iconic Halloween costumes throughout the years.

The hour will also include favorite celebrity appearances from past episodes, including Mila Kunis, Jack Black, Snoop Dogg, and more. Plus, Carey will share his thoughts on why he believes The Price Is Right has remained a beloved television institution and what hosting the legendary show has meant to him throughout the past 20 seasons.

Both specials will be available to stream on Paramount+ the next day. They are produced by showrunner/executive producer John Quinn and James Davis. These are in addition to the daytime weekday game show that will still air that week.
