Jimmy Kimmel taunted Donald Trump Thursday night (October 8), the eve of the Nobel Peace Prize announcement, saying the coveted award will never go to the president despite his repeated begging.

The late-night host said Hollywood is used to giving itself awards “almost all year long,” but admitted that no Oscar or Peabody “compares to the award being handed out in Oslo tomorrow.”

“In fact, just hours from now, they will hand out the Nobel Prize for Peace, the big one,” Kimmel said. “And that means it is that magical time of the year when our president, Donald JD Bug Trump, cries like a newborn baby, even though he doesn’t care about the Nobel Prize at all.”

He then threw to a montage of Trump’s frequent mentions of being passed over for the Nobel Peace Prize. In one clip, the president told reporters, “I ended eight wars. Did I get a Nobel Prize? No.” In another, he said he “didn’t care” about the prize, even though he claimed he should have won it.

“Well, you know what? I know you’re sad about this, Donald,” Kimmel responded. “I know you were really good this year. I know you only bombed 10 fishermen and one school, and I know you don’t care about the Nobel Prize, but somebody will get it. And you’ll be mortified to know that that someone will not be you tomorrow.”

Hours after Kimmel’s show, the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize to Navi Pillay, a former UN human rights commissioner.

Elsewhere on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the comedian said you can learn “everything you need to know about Donald Trump’s brain” from the fact that “he believes he should win a Nobel Prize for peace seven months after starting a war for no reason.”

“Even history’s most notorious dictators… Genghis Khan himself would be like, ‘You know what? This was a rebuilding year. We’ll go for it next year,’” Kimmel quipped.

One of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize finalists was Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. Kimmel said he’d love to see Carney win the award “just to drive Trump so nuts he eats his golf clubs this weekend.” He added, “I also know if he does, he’ll bomb every Tim Hortons from coast to coast.”

I just loved Kimmel's asides about former Don Jr. fiancé Kimberly Gilfoyle begging for money!
