Alaskan Bush People star Gabriel “Gabe” Brown’s wife, Raquell Brown, has filed for divorce after seven years, describing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”

According to Us Weekly, Raquell filed for divorce on September 22, two months after TMZ reported that the pair had separated. The former couple, who share three children, have been living in separate homes since April, per Us Weekly. Requell currently resides in Minnesota, while Gabe lives in Washington.

Raquell made several requests in the filing, including a fair division of their personal property, the right to request temporary spousal support, and child and medical support from Gabe for their three children. She is also asking that Gabe pay her attorney fees and any additional costs related to the divorce proceedings.

In addition, Raquell wants Gabe to pay a portion of their children’s daycare and education expenses, transportation fees, and any future college or vocational school assistance.

Gabe’s brother, Bear Brown, confirmed the news on social media, saying in a TikTok video on Tuesday (September 29), “Yes, Gabe is getting divorced. Stuff happens.”

He added, “I hope that everything can be done peacefully and work out and everything be what’s best for the children, because that’s what you should do.”

Gabe was a regular cast member on Alaskan Bush People since its premiere on the Discovery Channel in 2014. The hit show followed the Brown family as they tried to survive in the remote wilderness, away from modern society.

Raquell featured on the series after she and Gabe started dating in 2018. Gabe’s sister, Rain Brown, introduced the pair. They tied the knot in January 2019, and a second reception aired on Alaskan Bush People in 2020.

“All of my nervousness, the pre-wedding jitters and all of that, it just stopped as soon as I saw Raquell walking down the aisle,” Gabe said in the 2020 special, per Us Weekly. “It was like I was coming through a storm on a dark night and all of a sudden I pulled into a nice, safe harbor.”
