‘Outlander’: How You Can Still Experience the Series After the Finale

Outlander the series may be over, but there’s no shortage of ways to continue experiencing the magic of the Starz hit based on Diana Gabaldon‘s book series.

And one of the best ways to walk down memory lane is with the ongoing Outlander in Concert: Echoes Through the Highlands, which brings Bear McCreary’s mesmerizing compositions to the stage with a curated collaboration with showrunner Matthew B. Roberts.

Currently touring in North America, the concert series kicked off its latest leg in Brooklyn on Saturday, September 26 at the Kings Theatre, and TV Insider was on location to enjoy the sights and sounds of the evening. Along with gorgeous instrumentals, the concert includes stunning vocal performances of songs from Outlander as they play alongside various scenes and imagery from the original show’s run.

Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) love story take center stage in the arrangements, but so do the romances between Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin), Ian (John Bell) and Rachel (Izzy Meikle-Small), and even Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) and Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy) get a spotlight.

It’s a can’t-miss event for the Outlander lover in your life, and even for fans of Starz’s ongoing prequel spinoff Outlander: Blood of My Blood, which also gets a feature in the lineup.

The September 26th concert also included a few performances by Raya Yarbrough, who serenaded fans with her classic rendition of “The Skye Boat Song,” otherwise known as the them song of Outlander. Yarbrough sang the original version of the tune for the series, which was also covered later on by Sinéad O’Connor and Annie Lennox, among others.
