Spoiler Alert
What To Know
- Outlander: Blood of My Blood‘s Hermione Corfield breaks down Seema’s threat to Julia.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood finally reunited Julia (Hermione Corfield) and Henry (Jeremy Irvine) in the latest episode, “A Portion of My Soul,” but not without throwing a few wrenches in their path.
Before Julia manages to reconnect with Henry at the Grant estate as he resumes his bladier duties, she learns that he’d been involved with Seema (Lauren McQueen), when the woman, who had been brought on as a new worker at Castle Leathers, spoke about one of her trysts with a kind man. Ultimately, she confronts Henry about the arrangement he’d had with Seema when he’d visit her at the brothel looking for comfort after believing Julia was gone forever.
“I think that she reacted fairly, and I think you would be furious,” Corfield tells TV Insider about the revelation. “She’s constantly in that balance of understanding his mental health and the PTSD but also feeling her own feelings of betrayal and hurt. So I think, in that scene, we see her go through all the journey and movement through all that pain.”

Despite smoothing things out with Henry, Corfield adds, “She’s gonna forgive, but she’s not gonna forget for a while, and I think it will take a minute.”
The couple shares quality time before she returns to Castle Leathers, but Julia also has to consider the new dangers she faces due to Seema’s connection. As discussed in TV Insider’s Blood of My Blood aftershow, Corfield noted that an ill-wish was left in her baby’s cradle, not dissimilar to the one found under Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) bed in Season 1 of the flagship series, which had been left by the jealous Laoghaire (Nell Hudson), who eventually accused Claire of being a witch, which almost led to her death.
“I think instinctively she knows Seema and Henry have been intimate, but she needs Henry to confirm that,” Corfield continues. “So when she comes back, that’s all been confirmed, so obviously she knows that her husband slept with another woman, so she’s not feeling great, and then Seema appears with a knife, so the threat level goes up a bit.”
How far will Seema go? Only time will tell, as we were left with a cliffhanger in the episode, but stay tuned and let us know what you think of Seema’s similarities to Laoghaire in the comments section.
