Dolly Parton’s Sister Freida Breaks Silence on Family ‘Feud’ Over Estate

Dolly Parton‘s sister, Freida Parton, broke her silence on a rumored family “feud” over the country icon’s estate in the wake of her death.
On Wednesday, September 23, Freida, 69, took to Instagram to set the record straight after Dolly died at 89 on August 25, following a “brief battle” with cancer. The remarks came amid a legal fight between Dolly’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, and manager, Danny Nozell.
“I’ll say this and this only: there is no feud within our family,’ Freida wrote. “No one among the Parton/Owens family is fighting over Dolly’s estate.”
Freida concluded, “We all love Bryan, just as we all love each other. I love you all!!”
On Tuesday, September 22, Dolly’s trust filed a temporary restraining order in Tennessee one week after Nozell fired Seaver (the son of Cassie Parton, one of Dolly’s other sisters) as the head of security for Dolly and her properties.

The filing accused Seaver of threatening and intimidating staff by “invoking his self-proclaimed military-contractor experience, access to weapons, and capacity for violence to extort [She’s Alive] into giving into his demands for money,” per People.
One of Seavers alleged threats read, “Her money better be bigger than I can make elsewhere or I’m going to f*** everyone. I am about to become the hand of retribution for my entire family,” per TMZ.
“Dolly called me her killer. It was a joke we used around her camp,” Seaver told ABC News. “I was her ‘baby boy ninja’ and [Parton’s manager] Danny Nozell took that text out of context to somehow imagine that I was threatening him. He’s always called me The Killer.”
He added, “I’ve never threatened anyone … They are my friends and my brothers and colleagues.”
In addition to Freida and Cassie, Dolly had nine other siblings: sisters Willadeene, Stella, and Rachel; and brothers David, Coy “Denver,” Robert “Bobby,” Randal “Randy,” Estel, and Larry, who died shortly after birth.
