‘Big Brother 28’: Rick Devens Weighs His Final Two Options — Will He Cut Dee?

Would you cut your closest friend and number one ally at the end in order to win $750,000? That’s what Rick Devens debates in an exclusive clip as Season 28 of Big Brother winds down.

In the clip, the Survivor alum sits on the upstairs balcony in the backyard. Since he won the final five HOH during the Pharaoh’s Curse, Devens knows that he is guaranteed to go to the final four, but will he make it further than that?

He certainly hopes so, so hear what his plans are if he makes it to the final two. Would he cut his ride-or-die Dee Valladares in the end? It seems likely. See how the rest of the week plays out and who will leave on Wednesday’s episode.

“I cannot believe I am ending this week, going to the final four,” he said to the cameras. “However…” Devens then debated his options against his remaining Houseguests — Dee, Melody Morris, Taylor Brown, and Drew Campbell.

“If I get to the final two against Melody, I think the Jury gives it to me,” he said. “If I get to the final two against Taylor, I think the Jury gives it to me. If I am in the final two against Drew, I think the Jury gives it to me.”

“And then, we have my number one, closest ally in the game, Dee,” Devens said. “I don’t know if I can beat her in the final two.”

“The last thing I want to do is turn on my closest ally and good friend, Dee. And yet, she is the person most likely to beat me in the final two.”

Then, in the Diary Room, Devens said that he “gave up a lot” to be on Big Brother, including a summer with his young children and his wife. “I didn’t come here to have fun. I came here to go home with $750,000. That is the only option,” he said.

“The first time I played Survivor, I led with my heart instead of my brain, and it cost me $1 million,” Devens shared.

Back on the balcony, the HOH said, “I’ve got some momentum right now.”

“I believe having Dee and Drew in the game with me is my best path to that final two. That’s another reason I want Drew around is that I think he would take me to the final two over Dee.” Dee has won Survivor and taken home $1 million. Devens has not.

Dee and Devens have been in an alliance since the beginning with Season 26’s Angela Murray. But they have both stressed that they may cut each other in the end because they know they have a greater chance to win over the newbie players.

Currently, Drew and Melody are on the block. Whoever wins the veto secures themself a spot in the final four with Devens. Find out if the veto is used and who will be evicted on Wednesday. Then, the final three are determined on Thursday.
