A lot of eyes are on Jackson Olson now that he’s a contestant on Dancing With the Stars, which means he’s starting to be flooded with questions from those who may not have been familiar with him before the dance competition.

Following the Season 35 premiere, Olson decided to address one big question fans have had: Are his teeth fake? He posted a social media video to address the situation and explain the secret behind his smile.

Yes, Olson’s teeth are fake. “They’re not real,” he said in his video. “They’re veneers. All of them.”

What happened to Jackson Olson’s mouth?

In 2023, Olson injured his mouth during a Savannah Bananas baseball game. “I got in the face with a baseball and broke my jaw,” he explained, calling it “one of the worst pains” he’s ever felt.

Olson was taken to the hospital and quickly realized his teeth were not OK, but he still took the time to record a TikTok, “which probably wasn’t the best idea because it made the laceration in my cheek 10 times worse, but I still think it was worth it,” he noted.

The next day, Olson returned to the field to greet the crowd, then he went to a Taylor Swift concert a week later. “You guys know I was not missing that,” he said. It only took three weeks for him to start playing baseball again (albeit with a cage on his helmet).

When did Jackson Olson get veneers?

It wasn’t until August 2025 that Olson finally updated his smile. He said he received a message from a cosmetic dentist in Atlanta who saw his content about the situation and invited him in for an appointment.

“They did X-rays and told me even after getting surgery my teeth were at risk of dying,” Olson shared. “Everything in my mouth had shifted and I had gaps everywhere because of the impact.”

Getting veneers was Olson’s “change for everything to get better before it got way worse.”
