Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov Mocks Trump Over His Obsession With Her

Fox News host Jessica Tarlov has fired back at Donald Trump after his continued criticism of her, wondering why the president of the United States doesn’t have more important things to do.

Tarlov, who serves as the lone liberal voice on Fox News’ The Five, faces frequent attacks from the president. Across various Truth Social posts, Trump has referred to Tarlov as “a real loser,” “one of the worst personalities on television,” and “one of the least attractive and talented people on all of television.”

The president has also called for Fox News to fire Tarlov. “For Fox executives only, take Jessica Tarlov off the air,” he wrote back in April. “She is, from her voice, to her lies, and everything else about her, one of the worst “personalities” on television, a real loser! People cannot stand watching her. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Tarlov addressed Trump’s attacks on the latest episode of Pod Save America, saying, “Why is this man not busier? There are better things to do.”

She added, “If I had a son, I would definitely teach him that when you grow up, you should write about how a woman looks on television and sounds, and then call her ‘a big dummy.'”

Tarlov, who was on the podcast promoting her new book, I Disagree: Winning Arguments Without Losing Friends, said that, in a weird way, Trump’s attacks on her looks prove that she’s doing a good job.

“By the president coming after me and looking at the content of the criticism, I actually got to a place where I genuinely feel like when people pick on you because of style, that you’ve just done really well on substance,” she stated. “That feels good; the inner monologue feels good.”

However, she added, “It’s still sad and crazy.”

Despite Trump’s calls for Fox News to fire Tarlov, the former Democratic strategist recently signed a new three-year contract with the network and remains The Five‘s liberal commentator.

Speaking to The Guardian last week, Tarlov said the president’s threats don’t worry her because she has the network’s backing. “I think that [Fox News CEO] Suzanne Scott and the entire leadership team know exactly who I am, and that they want me to keep doing what I’m doing,” she stated.

“And if it aggravates [Trump] —he would just get annoyed at somebody else anyway. If he’s in a bad mood, he’s in a bad mood,” Tarlov added.
