What’s Worth Watching: The Booze Flows on Justified

Justified, “Noblesse Oblige” (Tuesday, Feb. 3, 10/9c, FX)

They might be murderers, but the romance between Boyd (Walton Goggins) and Ava Crowder (Joelle Carter) has been one of the show’s most compelling elements ever since the two hooked up in Season 2. So it’s a relief to see them finally reconnecting over a bottle (or three) of bourbon, even if they both have hidden motives.

Sam Elliott’s shady businessman Avery Markham made his debut last week, and while his mustache is missed, Markham’s laconic, easygoing menace is very much in evidence as we learn more about his Harlan roots and what, exactly, he’s doing back in Kentucky.
