Edie Falco to Star in New Fox Legal Drama ‘Katie Greaves’

Fox’s upcoming legal drama series Katie Greaves (working title) is bringing Edie Falco back to the genre after nine years (after Law & Order: True Crime).

The network has given a straight-to-series order to the drama, which centers around a former defense attorney (Falco) returning to the courtroom after a personal tragedy while helping her husband raise their two granddaughters.

“Sharr has created an extraordinary character in Katie Greaves: funny, formidable, deeply human, and driven to fight for people who might otherwise be overlooked, including her own family. The incredibly talented Edie Falco brings all of that strength, wit, and vulnerability to the screen, and there is no one we’d rather have at the center of this story,” said Michael Thorn, President, FOX Television Network, in a statement. “Together with Sharr’s singular voice and the incredible creative pedigree of Ridley Scott, David Zucker, and the team at Scott Free, we have exactly the kind of elevated, visceral character drama we want at FOX.”
