Andy Cohen Apologizes to Julia Stiles for Mocking Her Dancing After ‘DWTS’ Debut

Andy Cohen is eating his words after seeing Julia Stiles make her debut on Dancing With the Stars. In her opening package from night two of the Season 35 premiere, Stiles called out the Bravo host for previously saying on his radio show that she’s not a good dancer, and she sure did prove him wrong!
Stiles danced a quickstep with partner Ezra Sosa during the episode. She scored an 18/30 for the dance, putting her toward the top of the female leaderboard behind Maura Higgins and Jenna Dewan.
“Andy Cohen, you can eat it!” Derek Hough, one of the three judges, said while giving Stiles his thoughts on her performance.

Well, Cohen did just that on Watch What Happens Live. He named himself the “Jackhole of the Day,” addressing Stiles directly during the show. “Julia, I am so sorry,” Cohen said. “I’m the last person who should be giving anyone feedback on their dancing. Great job, Julia Stiles. You killed it tonight! You did amazing tonight.”
Cohen also included a clip of himself dancing at a concert, and, needless to say, his moves weren’t the best. To conclude the segment, he told his audience, “This diva gives all of you permission to flood my inbox with 10 things you hate about me.” Of course, that was a reference to Stiles’ role in the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You.
On his SiriusXM radio show in 2025, Cohen was interviewing Stiles’ Save the Last Dance costar Kerry Washington when he made the comment about the actress’ dance moves. “Can we all just agree that Julia Stiles is not the greatest dancer on the planet?” he said.
During rehearsals with Sosa, Stiles admitted, “The quote is imprinted in my brain!” And after the show, she was asked by Us Weekly whether she had a message for Cohen. “Derek [Hough] said it best!” she said.
Meanwhile, Sosa added, “Honestly, I feel like the best message is he should tune in every Tuesday night on Dancing with the Stars. He will see some great dancing from this diva.”
