A new season of All Creatures Great and Small is coming to PBS in January, and the show’s social media team has been building anticipation with some exciting behind-the-scenes videos.
On Wednesday (September 16), the show’s official Instagram page shared the “ultimate GRWM (get ready with me)” video. The clip featured lead stars Rachel Shenton, Nicholas Ralph, and Samuel West transforming into their beloved characters from the hit British period drama.
Shenton kicked off the video with her hair down and wearing a denim jumpsuit before transforming into her character, farmer’s daughter Helen Herriot. The transformation saw her reemerge with her hair tied back, wearing a knitted patterned sweater and corduroy trousers.
Next up was Ralph, who opened the door to his trailer wearing a plain black T-shirt and denim jeans. He then closed the door and reappeared in his James Herriot get-up, including a navy Harrington jacket, shirt and tie, woolen V-neck sweater, and brown trousers.

Finally, West stood by his trailer in a baseball cap, T-shirt, and a blue hoodie. He then removed his cap and transformed into veterinary surgeon Siegfried Farnon, with his hair combed back, wearing a white laboratory coat, and carrying his famous leather satchel.
Fans flooded the comments with excitement for the video and the upcoming seventh season, which debuts in the U.K. today, September 17, and in the U.S. on January 17, 2027, at 9/8c on MASTERPIECE on PBS.
“I LOVE this programme! The best show ever! The best actors and yes, I am going to cry my heart out if it ever stops!” wrote one commenter.
Another wrote, “I LOVE ACGAS THE BEST SHOW EVER! The cast are so TALENTED! I can’t wait until January!!!”
“I would wear Helen’s wardrobe today. I mean, I kinda do,” said one fan.
“I’m so excited for January. I think it’s time for a rewatch,” added another.

Other fans, however, wondered why Anna Madeley didn’t feature in the video. Madeley, who plays housekeeper Mrs. Hall, concerned viewers when her character temporarily stepped away from Skeldale House between the Christmas special and Season 6.
“Super cute! But where’s Anna?!” wrote one Instagram user.
“What about Mrs Hall?” said another.
“Missing the leading lady,” another added.
“No Anna?” asked another.
Fans don’t need to worry, though, as the show confirmed Madeley will be part of the Season 7 cast. Also reprising their roles are Callum Woodhouse as Tristan Farnon, Patricia Hodge as Mrs. Pumphrey, alongside her cherished Pekingese Tricki, Tony Pitts as Helen’s father Richard, and Imogen Clawson as her sister Jenny.
In addition, Maimie McCoy returns as Dorothy, Gaia Wise as Charlotte, and Mollie Winnard as Maggie.Belfast‘s Caolan McCarthy joins the cast as Granville Bennett, a new rival veterinarian.
