Sylvester Stallone Teases ‘Dangerous’ & ‘Unpredictable’ New Villain in ‘Tulsa King’ Season 4

Put on your sharpest three-piece suit, because it’s almost time to reunite with Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) when Tulsa King returns for Season 4.

Things will be getting even more intense for the Okie Mafia man when it comes to the lingering friction between him and his former bosses in the Big Apple. After spurning “Quiet Ray” Renzetti’s (James Russo) demands for a massive chunk of the bourbon business in Season 3 — and thwarting the mob’s assassination attempt by being old buddies with the chosen hitman, Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Samuel L. Jackson, heading the spinoff Frisco King next) — things are going to get ugly. Stallone himself teases, “There’s growing tension between Tulsa and the gangs in New York City,” and this leads to what the actor cryptically describes as “an interesting climax.”

Dwight has the newly minted governor Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough) in his back pocket — after Dwight’s girlfriend Margaret Devereaux (Dana Delany) essentially got the guy elected. “He owes [Dwight] many, many favors,” Stallone says of the new dynamic.

That said, there are some things even the state’s top brass can’t help him with. In particular, the gentle, sartorially snappy gangster is still going to have that pesky FBI Agent Musso (Kevin Pollak) hot on his tail, and their relationship “will reach a boiling point” this season, Stallone notes.

It also doesn’t help, of course, that Kansas City boss Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo) has already read that situation like a book, rightly intuiting that Dwight is cooperating with the G-man and will undoubtedly have a bone to pick with Dwight over being suddenly detained by the feds.

On top of all that, Dwight will also contend with a mystery newcomer, whom Stallone describes as “one of the most dangerous, unpredictable, psychopathic characters ever seen on Tulsa King.”

Considering all the twisted villains who have already crossed his path so far, that’s saying a lot. Cast additions for Season 4 include Richie Stephens as a mid-level crime boss named English Dan, Gretchen Mol as local politician Amanda Clark, and Flula Borg as tech billionaire Bradley Van Heusen, so we’ll have to wait and see if any one of these fits that thrilling billing. In other words, all is not OK in Oklahoma.
