‘Big Brother 28’ Week 9: Which Icon Left for Jury?
Bye-icon! One of the reality TV icons finally left for jury on Thursday.
Last week, LaTrice Verrett became the first Big Brother Season 28 jury member during Drew Campbell‘s first Head of Household, with the support of icons — Season 26’s Angela Murray, Survivor‘s Dee Valladares, and Rick Devens — and their fellow Crossovers ally, Barrett Pfeiffer. While it was clear Angela didn’t want to see LaTrice go and voted to save her over Taylor Brown, the four-to-two vote left the rest of the house questioning which other Houseguest voted for Taylor’s eviction. According to Melody Morris, who secretly voted to keep LaTrice as well, she’s taking that secret to her grave.
Another major player during Week 9 has been Dee’s BB Bribe advantage, which she used to get Yash Patel to promise that he would not put up herself, Devens, or Angela during his next HOH. Was $5,000 worth the potential target on his back?
Scroll to find out who took power in week nine and who won the Power of Veto. Do the icons have hope?

HOH: Barrett took home his first Head of Household win during Week 9 of the competition. This competition took Houseguests back in time to St. Patrick’s Day in 1601, where outgoing Head of Household Drew set the mood with a questionable faux Irish accent.
For the competition, Houseguests had to roll a series of rainbow colored balls into matching colored zones on a wavy lane. If a ball went into the wrong color, which already contained the correct ball, the houseguests would have to reset both balls. In the end, Barrett fell into a groove, while the rest of the Houseguests struggled to keep up.
Nominees: After spending the summer working with the icons, Barrett decided to put Angela, Dee, and Devens on the block. Ahead of the nomination ceremony, Barrett told Angela that it was time for him to make a purely selfish choice, and she spilled to the rest of the icons that all three of them were going up.
In a last-ditch effort to save all three of their games, Dee told Barrett in front of Yash that he had accepted a bribe to keep all three of them safe during his next HOH. Yash then lied about the bribe, saying he had just vowed to keep Dee safe. While the icons had hoped that knowing Yash would have to put up his allies would put a target on his back, Barrett stuck to his plan to put the icons’ games in jeopardy.
POV: After being chosen by Barrett, Yash was picked to play in the Veto alongside Taylor, the nominees, and HOH. This competition was the iconic BB Comics competition, where the Houseguests that season were transformed into comic book covers. The Veto players had to put them in the correct order and figure out which cover between two options was correct, all while dangling on a hang glider and looking into a glass window. Simple, right?
When it came down to it, Dee had the third-fastest time. Devens had the second-fastest time with 14:12. But that wasn’t enough to secure the win. Yash came out on top with 13:46, meaning he won the veto. He chose not to use it, and the nominees remained the same.
The Veto ceremony had a blow-up between the nominees and Barrett. They all called him out and tried to make his game look bad, but it didn’t change Yash’s mind.
Blockbuster: Devens won the Blockbuster and took himself off the block, leaving Angela and Dee.
Evicted: In a three-to-two vote, Angela was evicted and became the second jury member after LaTrice. Yash, Taylor, and Devens evicted Angela while Drew and Melody evicted Dee.
