Chad Powers hasn’t been renewed for Season 3 yet, but fret not, because it took until December 2025 for the series to get a Season 2 renewal after Season 1 debuted in September 2025. And with cliffhanger conclusions, we’re hoping the story will at least continue on to resolve unanswered plot points. Who would star in Chad Powers Season 3?
Chad Powers currently stars Glen Powell as Russ Holliday, a disgraced footballer who transforms into Chad Powers via prosthetics in order to pursue a quarterback role on the South Georgia Catfish football team. Meanwhile, Perry Mattfeld plays Ricky Hudson, and Steve Zahn portrays her father and fellow coach Jake Hudson. Frankie A. Rodriguez plays Russ’s best friend Danny, Wynn Everett is team booster Tricia, and Quentin Plair plays Coach Byrd. If the series returns for Season 3, we’d anticipate their returns.
What would Chad Powers Season 3 be about?
Chad Powers Season 2 concluded with Tricia uncovering Russ’s secret after Danny sought her help in protecting it after Russ went against Gerry’s (Colton Ryan) blackmail threat and won the championship game in the finale. Meanwhile, Russ finally confessed his love for Ricky, and the pair shared a steamy kiss as she tore through his Chad prosthetics, only to be interrupted by her father, who was looking to tell his daughter about his planned retirement from coaching. Additionally, Ricky had seemingly accepted a position coaching elsewhere, but would she actually leave? All of these loose threads would hopefully be addressed in Season 3 if it’s greenlit.
When could Chad Powers Season 3 premiere?
While we await an official renewal, if Chad Powers Season 3 is picked up, it is possible the show could arrive around fall 2027, as Season 1 debuted on September 30, 2025, and Season 2 premiered on September 3, 2026. This has to continue. Some of the best comedy and drama mixed I have seen in a very long time!

Season 3 is inevitable because it is officially the #1 show on Hulu. What we need are more episodes per season. And if Hulu never renewed it there are plenty of other streaming sites. It will be back. I hope it continues until Chad gets the Heisman and is ready to be drafted into the NFL and then he would have to disappear and they could never divulge he was Russ publicly.
