Maria Bartiromo Out at Fox News After More Than 12 Years

After nearly 13 years working for Fox News and Fox Business Network (FBN), Maria Bartiromo is parting ways with the network. “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” Fox News Media said in a statement on September 3.
Bartiromo is not being phased out slowly. Her last day working for the network was on September 3, the same day the news of her exit was announced. Her FBN morning show, Mornings With Maria, will now be called Mornings With Fox Business and will feature rotating anchors moving forward.
Additionally, Bartiromo hosted FBN’s Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street on Friday evenings. This will now be called FBN’s Wall Street, with Cheryl Casone hosting this week, followed by rotating anchors after that.

Bartiromo’s Sunday morning Fox News show, Sunday Morning Futures, will get a new host at a later date, but Jason Chaffetz will be filling in for the September 6 broadcast. Fox Business Network will also announce a new weekday programming schedule “in the coming weeks,” per the network.
A reason for Bartiromo’s exit has not been confirmed. She joined the network in February 2014 after previously spending more than 20 years working for CNBC, where she had begun working in 1993. Prior to that, Bartiromo was with CNN as an executive producer and assignment editor for five years.
The journalist has not appeared on Fox News since August 9 or FBN since August 7. In recent weeks, there has been speculation that she could be named Donald Trump‘s new press secretary following Karoline Leavitt‘s decision to step down on August 27, per Deadline.
Her last Instagram post was on July 30, promoting an episode of Mornings With Maria. Before her unexplained absence from her shows, she was often posting about her broadcasts online, but that has stopped in recent weeks.

Agreed. Journalism practiced. Her recent call-out of Fox and other "lame-streams" for discounting President Trump's important recent POTUS speech via text messages to senior decision-makers there to not discuss/minimally cover/avoidance of speech promotion and meaning is probably what got her fired. Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (aka an acknowledged "RINO") is on the FOX Corporate BOD. Connect the dots - journalism takes real courage to call out powerful and hypocritical spinless players. Maria is too valuable a financial mind to just be a White House press secretary she is best suited to be working with secretary Bassett in the Department of the treasury. The only two possible A+ candidates for NEW White House press secretary would be Alina Habba or Tulsi Gabbard.

Tulsi' husband though - since she left, I have not followed. I think it's been quiet "over there" due to what support of a cancer-diagnosed spouse requires. It's tough - been through that, but now recovered. That meanwhile is rough. I do favor Mr. William's full recovery. She might re-enter the DC fights. Alina - both women are powerhouses and would do a great job for the WH.

Maria knew how FOX was refusing to cover Trump’s accusations of voter fraud.. which have since been and continue to be revealed .. and she alerted President Trump about how FOX made a decision to hide / manipulate news .. Maria should be regarded as a patriot and history will show how FOX took a step to the left to manipulate the news!

I was wondering what was happening with Maria, however I'm still curious as to why she would leave such popular programming? I am really going to miss her Mornings, Friday and Sunday Futures programs.
I like Cheryl, but I do wish she would get some lessons & practice not talking through her nose. I know it's in New York feature, but all that nasally trailing off every time she speaks are like nails on a chalkboard.

Bartonelli was working on a highly controversial story. It was assumed it cause some division and disagreements at Fox. The rest of the story will never see the light of day…or “mornings with Maria.”

I figured she got tired of pretending to be a reporter on Fox. At first it probably seemed to be an ideal job, good money and you don’t have to do as much work being factually correct. I guess it gets boring when you’re not challenged anymore.

Please not Casone. That long, gloomy face and that horrible voice are such a turn off in the morning. Please find somebody as close to Maria as you possibly can. She was always a joy to look at and listen to. Any of the cute girls that fill in on the other shows would be great. I can’t remember their names, but they always have a great smile and a pretty voice with some excitement to it. Instead of that horrible dour voice of Casone. I really will have to switch to CNBC in the morning if that horrible woman is on.
I would love to see Maria as the press secretary, but I can’t imagine she would want to do that. I know she’ll never really retire, but she deserves an easier schedule - and being press secretary is not that. Love her to bits and wish her all the best.

Maria you were an outstanding anchor for MSNBC or whatever network you were on giving the business news. Since you went to FOX your credibility was greatly diminished and lost my viewership.
